On February 26, 2018, an information meeting with UNIZA students was held at the premises of Aula 2 of the Žilina University in Žilina, where they were presented with a project called MHEI-ME (Multiple Higher Educational Institutions – Masters in Entrepreneurship). The aim of the project is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire an education in the online Masters in Entrepreneurship study program.
The Online Masters in Entrepreneurship study program was developed at the initiative of the consortium of the European Higher Education Institutions (MHEI), in order to respond to the requirements of the labour market for the quality of graduates to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and managers in small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Masters in Entrepreneurship study program is designed for business needs and is designed to help entrepreneurs and managers who want to start a small and medium business environment. The co-operation of higher education institutions brings to the study program several years of international experience in the field of Master’s study. This international engagement is what distinguishes the program from other study programs in the education market.
The consortium of MHEI colleges associates the following universities:
- University of Ioannina, Greece
- Szent Istvan University, Hungary
- University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy
- University of Žilina, Žilina, Slovak Republic
- Poltava University of Economics and Trade, Ukraine
The study program was approved in Malta by the NCFHE National Higher Education and Further Education Commission on the basis of the European Qualifications Framework within the Erasmus + program. The study is equivalent to Master’s degree (level 7 – postgraduate level). Accreditation of the course is guaranteed by EQA certification. Acquired ECTS credits are recognized within the European Learning Area.
The Online Masters in Entrepreneurship program is co-funded by Erasmus + and the duration of the study is 18 months.
Students have 9 modules (subjects) in business, finance, management, marketing, ICT use in marketing, etc. in the first 9 months. Students then complete a 3-month internship in a selected SME enterprise, and at the end of the study they develop a business plan project (6 months) that will need to be defended before the commission.
