The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) embarked on an ambitious initiative to help create a greater awareness of the tremendous potential of eCommerce and digital media to our local economy. This is one of a number of initiatives that MCA is rolling out in its undertaking to implement the National eCommerce Strategy, 2014 – 2020, which aims to ensure that the local business community has the necessary means and skills to capitalise on opportunities brought about by the digital economy. Supported by Advenio eAcademy, a licensed higher education institution with years of experience in the design, development and implementation of blended learning programmes both locally and overseas, the MCA is launching – eBiznify eCommerce training programme – an initiative part-financed by the Operational Programme II of the European Structural and Investment funds 2014-2020.
The eBiznify eCommerce training programme is a certified Level 4 blended learning course in digital business which is being offered by the Malta Communications Authority, through the NCFHE-licensed Advenio eAcademy, a Higher Education Institution. As the awarding body, Advenio eAcademy is responsible for the full quality assurance of the programme ensuring that it complies with all the requirements of the NCFHE, in terms of design, and delivery.
eBiznify will provide state-of-the-art customised learning solutions to the Maltese market through a certified 4 ECTS credit Level 4 Course in eCommerce. It will include both self-learning and collaborative learning elements and will require participants to participate in various online and onsite workshop/tutorial sessions. In addition, they will also be required to participate in online forum discussions and to work on various assignment projects during the twelve week course. All of these elements are integral to the ongoing evaluation process key to the certification of the programme by NCFHE.
An integral part of the course-work is the validation of the many Maltese success stories in eCommerce and use of digital media. The programme includes participation of many local entrepreneurs who will be sharing their experience in nurturing and developing their businesses into thriving concerns. Their participation will help to inspire individuals, including students and traders, with the potential of eCommerce and digital media. The eBiznify production team is already on the road interviewing and capturing on camera these valid perspectives to a successful use of digital technology in business.
