TITLE: Advenio eAcademy enters into strategic collaboration agreement with NPDI to provide on-line certified courses for Entrepreneurs in Namibia
Earlier this week, Mr. Stephen P. D’Alessandro, Executive Director on behalf of Advenio eAcademy and Ms. Yvonne Yon on behalf of NPDI, the Neo-Professional Development Institute, entered into a strategic collaboration agreement for the provision of quality online and blended learning solutions in Namibia. This collaboration will enable the NPDI to offer in Namibia the full range of on-line certified courses offered by Advenio eAcademy. This collaboration will enable NPDI to provide a broad range of educational courses in Entrepreneurship to cater for post under-graduate and post graduate requirements in Namibia.
The negotiations leading to the collaboration were carried out by Stephen D’Alessandro and Ing David Dingli as directors of the Academy. Both directors had years earlier, previous experience of lecturing at post-graduate level in Namibia and of working with Ms. Yon in her previous role as co-ordintaor of an international outreach programme offered in Namibia. In the course of the negotiations, it was agreed that in addition to the standard on-line Advenio eAcademy programmes being made available to NPDI, arrangements are also being made to offer a series of customized programmes at Level 5.
Ms. Yon confirmed that Neo-Professional Development Institute was established to provide high-level professional development, training & coaching services in Namibia. She believed that most businesses and entrepreneurs suffer two major challenges i.e. they lack training or development resources and the depth of knowledge needed to focus on their businesses from a true “ownership” perspective. Both lead to lowered expectations, lack of business and personal growth. She said that NPDI is committed to improve upon these challenges, through its well-designed programmes and the internationally certified programmes such as those offered by Advenio eAcademy.
Ms. Yon confirmed that the collaboration agreement with Advenio eAcademy is in line with the strategic objectives of NEO-Professional Development Institute, particularly that of partnering with international institutions which already offering accredited programmes. She was confident that entrepreneurs in Namibia were ready to embrace the new technologies of on-line learning and that she was keen to launch the first online courses for entrepreneurs in Namibia in May 2019. The first courses to be launched will be at Level 5 and will be offered in a blended learning style. In addition to the weekly on-line live workshop tutorial sessions led by Advenio eAcademy Faculty, support NPDI tutors will run on-site workshop/tutorial sessions to give participants further opportunity to contextualize the course content.
Mr. D’Alessandro and Ing. Dingli expressed their satisfaction with the agreement reached between the parties and commented on their very positive experiences some years back when both were involved in lecturing in Namibia. They believed that the discussions with NPDI, particularly those related to the development and implementation of customized specialized courses augured well for the future.
