In September, Advenio eAcademy was one of the HEIs participating in the Erasmus+ TCA Thematic Seminar Key Enablers of a Transforming Digital Education Ecosystem held in Riga, Latvia. The overall aim of this TCA was to increase the awareness of participants in the current trends and practices in digital education in the EU. It provided excellent opportunities for the review and discussion of the key components that constitute the digital ecosystem. This included an analysis of different strategies for integrating digital tools and resources in learning. The sessions included overviews of innovative projects from various European institutions among which was InClass: Telepresence Robots in Schools. This included live demonstrations of Telepresence Robots and their utilisation in an educational environment.
The event provided opportunities for discussion with other EU educators and administrators and provides a valuable input to our continued efforts to seek and apply best practices in elearning at Advenio eAcademy. Ms Chandran confirmed that she was “ excited to apply the knowledge and skills gained from this experience to enhance my own teaching practices and contribute to the development of a more digital-savvy educational landscape”.
The format of the event ensured a practical firsthand review of the subject matter with excellent support by the facilitators present. The high calibre of the speakers and the interactive approach provided an informative event which was effectively implemented.
Congratulations to the Erasmus+ for yet another excellent opportunity for continued professional development.
