Erasmus+ Award in NGO Management Programme Completion

On the 28th December 2023 presentation ceremonies were held in Malta, Albania and Cyprus for the Award in NGO Management. This MQF/EQF Level 5 – 10 ECTS is an online accredited programme designed to assist Voluntary Organisation officers and staff in meeting the challenges of managing a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

It was designed and developed as a 14 week part-time online programme delivered in English to enable NGOs to upskill and develop their management capacity, to increase their social impact, better achieve their goals, and be more sustainable.

The project was led by Advenio eAcademy as the Awarding body in collaboration with: Solidarity Overseas Services Malta (SOS Malta); the Centre For Advancement Of Research And Development In Educational Technology Ltd-CARDET, Cyprus; and Friends of Korca (Miq te Korces)-Albania.

In 2023 there were two intakes of this programme included five modules: Award in Meeting Key NGO Challenges; Award in Fundamentals of Management; Award in Fundamentals of Campaigning and Marketing; Award in Fundamentals of Human Resources Management; and Award in Fundamentals of Financial Management.

The award presentation ceremony in Malta was held at the Meeting Place in Marsa and was hosted by SOS Malta and Advenio eAcademy. Short addresses were made to those present by Ms. Graziella Schiavone on behalf of SOS Malta and by Stephen D’Alessandro on behalf of Advenio eAcademy. Various programme participants also spoke about their experience in completing the programme.

A similar event was held on that day in Tirana, Albania for Albanian students and another held in Nicosia for the successful students in Cyprus. These events wrapped up the Erasmus+ project which comprised research and development of case studies, review and updating of 2022 content and implementation of two intakes in 2023.
