El Award in Essentials of ICT 1 es un curso EQF/MQF Nivel 5 acreditado con 1 crédito ECTS. El curso proporcionará las herramientas y los conocimientos necesarios, así como la destreza en las prácticas de las TIC que ayudarán a hacer crecer un negocio. Se basa en las mejores prácticas actuales, que nosotros mismos aplicamos en las funciones de consultoría en la aplicación de prácticas de gestión en diferentes organizaciones. En particular, el curso se ocupa del desarrollo web, comercio electrónico, SEO, recopilación de datos, comunicaciones TIC, AI & IoT y amenazas TIC y medidas de seguridad. El curso se imparte totalmente en línea, normalmente durante un periodo de 1 semana (hasta 4 semanas).

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

1. Understand the basic use of internet programming concepts for SMEs.
2. Understand the basic concepts in information technology such as; architectures, protocols, standards, languages, tools and techniques
3. Assist in the development of an eCommerce business using the available software and web-based platforms.
4. Understand information as an area of their operation that needs to be protected as part of their systems of internal control.
5. Assist in various research and report in the field of information and communication technology.

Cada módulo se evaluará sobre la base de los siguientes componentes:

1. 6 Self-Assessment Tests: 60%
   • The Self-Assessment tests consists of a data bank of questions typically true or false and multiple choice, from which a randomised selection is provided to the student. Negative marking is used to discourage the students from trying to guess the answers. Students have a maximum of three attempts to pass each Self-Assessment Test.
2. Module Evaluation question: 40%
   • This is an essay style question which must be completed on the eLearning platform.

Criterios de aprobación:

• Los estudiantes deben alcanzar un total de 50% or higher across the two components to pass the module.
