El Award in Essentials of Management 1 es un curso EQF/MQF Nivel 5 acreditado con 1 crédito ECTS. El curso proporcionará las herramientas y los conocimientos necesarios, así como la habilidad para aplicar prácticas de gestión que ayuden a hacer crecer y gestionar una empresa. Se basa en las mejores prácticas actuales, que nosotros mismos aplicamos en las funciones de consultoría en la aplicación de prácticas de gestión en diferentes organizaciones. En particular, el curso aborda las cuatro funciones clave de la gestión, el desarrollo y la utilización de un plan de negocio, la gestión de proyectos y la gestión de la calidad. El curso se imparte totalmente en línea y suele durar una semana (hasta cuatro).

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

1. Use planning models in defining the mission of business units.
2. Use management control systems to ensure compliance with an organisation’s strategy and risk tolerance.
3. Adopt a strategic perspective in setting the direction for operations.
4. Adopt market segmentation techniques in defining strategies to achieve  desired market position.

Cada módulo se evaluará sobre la base de los siguientes componentes:

1. 6 Self-Assessment Tests: 60%
   • The Self-Assessment tests consists of a data bank of questions typically true or false and multiple choice, from which a randomised selection is provided to the student. Negative marking is used to discourage the students from trying to guess the answers. Students have a maximum of three attempts to pass each Self-Assessment Test.
2. Module Evaluation question: 40%
   • This is an essay style question which must be completed on the eLearning platform.

Criterios de aprobación:

• Los estudiantes deben alcanzar un total de 50% or higher across the two components to pass the module.
