UKRAINE, IVAN FRANKO NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LVIV

In 2024 collaboration arrangements were established between Advenio eAcademy and the national University of Lviv through the involvement of both organisations in the University of Macedonia led Project “Mediterranean Optimization for Sustainable Apparel (MODA)”.

Ivan Franko National University of Lviv is a classical higher educational establishment with powerful scientific schools, old traditions and modern innovation approaches. Its principal aim is to provide high educational and scientific standards, cultural, social needs of a person, the society and state in the process of training highly qualified specialists. The University activity is formed on the grounds of preserving Ukrainian culture and traditions, developing national consciousness and identity.

The University holds the 4th level of accreditation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and trains specialists in licensed programs: 9 specialities of an educational-proficiency level ‘junior specialist’, 49 bachelor’s degree programs, 82 specialities ‘specialist’ and 87 specialities ‘master’ in 17 branches of knowledge.

At the University, where the main printing structure is the Publishing House during the year 2017, 28 textbooks, 116 textbooks, 101 monographs and 58 issues of university newspapers were published. Since the beginning of 2018, the Publishing House has published 81 editions, in particular: 6 textbooks, 12 textbooks, 12 monographs, 41 Visnyk, 1 collection of scientific works.

The University is a founder and publisher of 44 scientific serial publications. Visnyk Universytetu (University bulletin): Biology Series belongs to the list of international professional editionts Web of Science. Journal of Physical Studies is one of 42 journals in Ukraine that belongs to a bibliographic database Scopus.

At present, Lviv University is considered one of the most prestigious institutions of our country. It gained high international prestige and became a powerful scientific centre.

On the pediment of the main building of Lviv University there is a slogan: «Patriae decori civibus educandis» (Educated citizens, the glory of the Fatherland). The university community works hard to make this idea come true. The transformation of the University into a modern European institution with the preservation of the best national academic traditions is the main goal of the university community.
