On the 20th April 2023, Advenio eAcademy participated in the international online conference titled “Distance Education – Enabling Future Excellence Today” organized by the College of Business Administration Latvia. Mr. Stephen P. D’Alessandro, Executive Director of Advenio eAcademy was the first speaker in the conference and he provided an overview to the ARPEL4Entrep Erasmus+ project which was launched in 2021 along with the HEI partners, University of Ioannina, University of Zilina, University of Bari Aldo Moro and Vilnius University. Mr. D’Alessandro spoke briefly on the research that was involved as the basis of the programme and the multi-disciplinary efforts to develop the ARPEL process to provide recognition of prior learning for experienced participants on the programme. He provided details on the manner in which this process was structured and the web-based engine developed to facilitate its implementation as an integral part of the Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship. Mr. D’Alessandro spoke about the critical role of the accreditation of the programme ensuring that participants on the programme would have an internationally recognized qualification. With more than three hundred and fifty participants from various EU countries, the conference provided an overview to best practices in online learning at a tertiary level.
