On Monday 15th September 2025, SOS Malta in collaboration with Advenio eAcademy, hosted an information session to explain the next phase of the AMIF Language Buddy project. This phase of the project focuses on the recruitment of migrant youths (ages 12-17) to be mentored in the coming six months by the mentors that have completed the AMIF Language Buddy training provided earlier in the year.
Various NGOs that support migrants, school representatives and migrant community representatives were invited to this event. These were to be given all the relevant project information for them to inform their clients of the project and the opportunity for the migrant youths to be mentored.
During the event a few select mentors who completed the AMIF Language Buddy online course were also invited to discuss their experience of participating in the project. These mentors gave a brief presentation on their motivation to embark on this mentoring experience.
Any migrant youths who could benefit from some extra support in English or homework, can ask their parent/guardian to register by using the QR code in the poster below or by clicking on this online application form link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScm2PtBssatggqE_rkFvI2ADl00vnoeBjKq8MP0ChVHUoGJKw/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=112702526114154780839
