Advenio eAcademy, in collaboration with SOS Malta, successfully hosted the National Info Day Event for the AMIF Language Buddy Project on Friday, 8 May 2026, at The Meeting Place in Marsa.
The event brought together a diverse group of more than twenty participants, including representatives from migrant organisations, Language Buddy mentors and mentees, as well as parents and guardians. The gathering provided an inclusive platform to present the project’s outcomes, share experiences, and celebrate the achievements of those involved.
The session opened with welcome remarks from Advenio eAcademy and SOS Malta, followed by an overview of the Language Buddy Project and its key results. Particular emphasis was placed on the programme’s role in supporting language skills acquisition, social inclusion, and intercultural exchange among migrant youths.
A highlight of the event were the testimonials shared by mentors, mentees, and parents, offering valuable insights into the real-life impact of the initiative. These contributions underscored the importance of personalised mentoring, community engagement and accessible learning. The mentors commented positively about the experience and on how much they enjoyed watching their mentee develop as a result of the mentorship. Some comments from the mentees included being very grateful for this project and everyone involved as they helped them to improve their language skills and general grades at school.
The event concluded with a certificate award ceremony, recognising the commitment and achievements of the mentors and mentees who actively participated in the programme. The session was followed by informal networking over light refreshments, encouraging further dialogue and collaboration among attendees.

The AMIF Language Buddy Project continues to demonstrate the value of community-based, learner-centred approaches in supporting migrant integration through education and mentorship. Advenio eAcademy and its partner, SOS Malta, remain committed to building on these results and promoting sustainable, inclusive learning initiatives.
