Advenio eAcademy is in the process of developing a new Level 5 Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Tourism Studies Programme.
Some additional members of Adjunct Faculty are required to participate in the programme design, development and implementation of the following modules in the programme :-
- Essentials of Global & Regional Tourism Systems
- Essentials of Tourism Business Operations & Management
- Basic Principles of Entrepreneurship in Tourism
- Meeting the challenges of sustainability
- Meeting the challenges of over-tourism
- Research Methods & Data Analytics for Tourism
Adjunct Faculty will be involved in the following tasks:
- Design of the module structure, MFHEA application module description and development of the module content.
- Implementation of course modules, including delivery of weekly online tutorials and on-site support classes, review and marking of coursework comprising supervision and marking of forums and assignments;
- Supervision of final projects within the range of online and blended learning programmes.
Each module runs over a six-week period, with online tutorials and local on-site support classes, while final project supervision sessions are held online bi-weekly over a 24-week period. Online classes are held at 17.30 hrs CET, and on-site classes are held at 16.30 hrs CET at Easy School of Languages in Valletta.
Tutors with appropriate academic qualifications, preferably a Master’s degree in Tourism or in a relevant field and teaching experience are invited to apply. We will give preference to Malta-based tutors who can manage both online involvement and on-site support classes held in Valletta.
