This module covers issues on sustainable development, legislation and compliance, legal framework, fundraising (With specific reference to provisions for Malta, Cyprus and Albania). It also covers grant proposals, ICT infrastructures and Mobilisation of internal and external resources to achieve organisational goals and objectives .
The 6 sessions included in the module are as follows:

- Malta NGO Legislation and Compliance
- Legal Frameworks for Operation of an NGO
- Fundraising, Grant Proposals and Fund Diversification
- ICT Perspectives
- Resource Mobilisation

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:
- Apply Legal Frameworks for the operation of an NGO.
- Apply best practices in an NGO in terms of Employment obligations in Malta or Cyprus by benchmarking such practices to recognise top performers in the sector.
- Apply plans for the organisation for effective utilisation of ICT resources with particular reference to the introduction of web-based tools that provides scalability and flexibility to assist the NGO in dealing with seasonal or operations cyclicality.
- Apply the best practices of resource mobilisation in an organisation to ensure provision of adequate resources for successful completion of the different projects undertaken.
Each module will be assessed based on the following components:
- Quality of Contributions in Forums: 30%
- Evaluation of participation and the quality of insights shared in online discussion forums.
- Quality of Contributions in Tutorials: 20%
- Assessment of engagement and contributions during tutorial sessions.
- Assignment/Case Study: 50%
- Completion and quality of assignments that demonstrate understanding and application of the course material.
Passing Criteria:
- Students must achieve an aggregate of 50% or higher across the two components to pass the module.
Scholarship Schemes for Maltese residents:
- MySkills Scheme: Malta residents are eligible for up to 80% reimbursement, capped at €5,000, subject to eligibility criteria. International students would be able to apply for the MySkills Scheme once they obtain their Student Temporary Residence Card (TRC). (For individual modules only)
- Get Qualified Scheme ( Scheme available for Maltese residents ) – 70% refund of course fee as a tax rebate
