El Award in Essentials of Financial Management 2 es un curso EQF/MQF Nivel 5 acreditado con 1 crédito ECTS. El curso proporcionará las herramientas y los conocimientos necesarios, así como la habilidad en las prácticas de gestión financiera que ayudarían a hacer crecer un negocio. Se basa en las mejores prácticas actuales, que nosotros mismos aplicamos en las funciones de consultoría en la aplicación de prácticas de gestión en diferentes organizaciones. En particular, el curso aborda los conceptos básicos de contabilidad, estados financieros, ratios, valoración de inversiones y conceptos básicos de finanzas. El curso se imparte totalmente en línea y suele durar 1 semana (hasta 4 semanas).

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

1. Assist in match the role of different asset classes, their behaviour in isolation and in relation to other asset classes, and an understanding of how portfolios of investments can be constructed and analysed.
2. Assist in applying criteria to make investment decisions.
3. Assist in estimation of cash flows for investment projects in companies and organisations.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the risks of misinformation
5. Appreciate the relevance of the risk assessment process and determine ways to controlling risk.

Cada módulo se evaluará sobre la base de los siguientes componentes:

1. 6 Self-Assessment Tests: 60%
   • The Self-Assessment tests consists of a data bank of questions typically true or false and multiple choice, from which a randomised selection is provided to the student. Negative marking is used to discourage the students from trying to guess the answers. Students have a maximum of three attempts to pass each Self-Assessment Test.
2. Module Evaluation question: 40%
   • This is an essay style question which must be completed on the eLearning platform.

Criterios de aprobación:

• Los estudiantes deben alcanzar un total de 50% or higher across the two components to pass the module.
