Special Programmes for the Malta Council for Voluntary Sector (MCVS) VO Network

The following MFHEA accredited programmes at EQF/MFQ Level 5 are delivered fully online. The first two programmes are designed as a part-time programmes for individuals with experience of working in the NGO sector, whilst the third programme is designed for HR professionals.

Programme 1: Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Social Entrepreneurship

(90 ECTS credits involving c. 2,500 study hours typically equivalent to 2,250 CPD hours)

This involves one on-line tutorial per week in support of all the online content and materials. It is delivered over a period of 74 weeks comprises:

Stage1:               participation in ARPEL (Accreditation & Recognition of Prior Experiences & Learning) process for participants with experience in NGO management – 32 ECTS credits (duration 6 weeks)

Stage 2:              8 Specialist Modules x 4 ECTS credits – 32 ECTS Credits (duration 48 weeks)

Stage 3:              Final Research Project – 26 ECTS credits (duration 24 weeks commencing med-way in Stage 2)

Standard Tariff: Eur6,030

A bursary of Eur530 will be offered on the forthcoming intake.

Net Tariff:           Eur5,500

Programme 2: Award in NGO Management

(10 ECTS credits involving c. 250 study hours typically equivalent to 250 CPD hours)

This involves one on-line tutorial per week in support of all the online content and materials. It is delivered over a period of 14 weeks comprises:

5 modules x 2 ECTS credits – 10 ECTS credits

Standard Tariff: Eur1,200

A bursary of Eur300 will be offered on the forthcoming intake.

Programme 3: Award Gender Based Violence Support for HR Professionals

(4 ECTS credits involving c. 100 study hours typically equivalent to 100 CPD hours)

This involves one on-line tutorial per week in support of all the online content and materials. It is delivered over a period of 14 weeks comprises:

2 modules x 2 ECTS credits – 10 ECTS credits

Standard Tariff: Eur380

A bursary of Eur80 will be offered on the forthcoming intake.
